CAD Micro: Enablers of Canadian Innovation
Supporting a client-base across Canada, CAD Micro provides myriad services designed to help customers “innovate, disrupt, design, and succeed.” Their offering of automation software, manufacturing solutions, and consulting services aim to usher the Canadian manufacturing industry into the future—a mission which CAD Micro has relentlessly pursued since their founding in 1984.
For nearly 40 years, CAD Micro has been enabling the innovation of Canadian Engineering and Manufacturing companies who understand that adopting new technology is key to becoming an industry leader. CAD Micro’s aim is to help Canadian companies become more competitive by improving their efficiency in multiple areas such as inventory reduction and digital workflows.
Their very name is an acronym for their business approach.
C = Challenge the status quo
A = Adopt new technologies
D = Deliver solutions that ensure ROI
CAD Micro supports Canadian businesses via 5 distinct business units:
- CAD/CAM Software
- Advanced Manufacturing (3D Printers and additive manufacturing)
- Advanced Simulation
- Augmented and Mixed Reality
Let’s face it, it’s hard to keep up with the rapidly evolving technological landscape. CAD Micro’s internal “technology watch” program incentivizes their team to stay abreast of new technology that can give Canadian companies a competitive advantage. Implementing new technology can be scary but one of the things CAD Micro does best is take the fear out of implementing new technology by putting themselves in the shoes of their customer and crafting a well thought out implementation plan with a clear ROI strategy.
What sets CAD Micro apart from competitors is that they carry a much broader portfolio of products. They know that no one single product can do it all. This allows them to craft a truly customized and holistic solution. This is demonstrated in their Customer Experience Center where potential customers can come in and experience the differences in products and technologies.
Among their more unique offerings is their robust customer support program which, aside from standard phone and email support, can be provided via virtual, mixed and augmented reality.
Advanced Manufacturing is thriving in Canada and CAD Micro is playing a key role in its evolution.
CAD Micro searches for a creative partner
Looking to integrate Video Marketing strategies to promote their capabilities, CAD Micro began the search for a marketing agency to help propel the business into a new era.
Pitches from other creative and marketing agencies seemed to lack an understanding of CAD Micro’s fundamental mission revealing a disconnect between the aims of the agency and that of CAD Micro’s in-house marketing team. The pitches that did convey some semblance of understanding, on the other hand, came with an exorbitant price tag.
CAD Micro was approached by the team at MoreSALES and once the conversation came around to Video Marketing it soon became clear that MoreSALES’ approach aligned well with the vision of their in-house team. Having found the creative partner they were looking for, CAD Micro tapped MoreSALES to film and produce a nine-part video series. The series, ranging from organizational overviews to industry-specific case studies, aims to highlight:
- Some of the challenges being faced by Canadian manufacturers;
- How CAD Micro’s technology and manufacturing solutions help overcome these challenges
Since the onset of their partnership, MoreSALES and CAD Micro have shot two videos—with a third installment in the works. The ongoing collaboration between MoreSALES and CAD Micro’s own team of marketing professionals has made for a comprehensive video marketing strategy which honors CAD Micro’s mission: empowering Canadian innovation.
“MoreSALES is a very professional company. They came in and set the stage for our success – they were very well prepared and gently guided us through the process of the corporate video. We found it to be a fantastic experience!” – Sarah Mills – Director of Central Sales
The team at MoreSALES is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with CAD Micro on this video series, and we look forward to supporting their continued contributions to Canadian manufacturing.
