Since 2010, MoreSALES has collaborated with Vertex to create and launch the Smart Methods in Advanced Remediation Technologies (SMART) series of technical learning seminars. The annual multi city event brings environmental professionals in the North American environmental community together to enhance their collective understanding of cutting-edge site characterization and remediation technologies.
The SMART Technical Seminars:
- Provide information and an opportunity to learn about advanced technologies and approaches for effective delineation and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater.
- Facilitate discussion between professionals regarding these technologies and approaches.
- Enable environmental professionals to network with other experts in the industry.
This February Vertex was faced (as was the world) with the challenges and limitations brought on by the pandemic, and how to pull off a typically 4 city in-person event in a virtual way.
MoreSALES helped Vertex evaluate various technologies to determine the best fit for the event and its attendees. Electing to utilize legacy platforms already deployed with Vertex and SMART we built the entire event in a span of 6 weeks and successfully launched the first seminar on Thursday February 4th 2021. Over the past 4 weeks the results speak for themselves as Vertex has expanded attendance to over 350+ attendees which is more than the combined 4 live events in 2020.
Feedback through our electronic surveys has been remarkable! Attendees have enjoyed the 4 weeks of short and informative sessions and have thoroughly participated in the virtual break out networking rooms.
While year 11 of SMART looked like it might be an uphill battle, the hard work and diligence of the MoreSALES and Vertex team has made SMART 2021 a resounding success.
